Erlebnis Modellbahn 2027
The Modelleisenbahnclub "Theodor Kunz" Pirna e.V. is a German model‑railway association founded on 3 May 1965. It operates HO, TT and N‑scale layouts and showcases them at exhibitions across Europe. The club’s flagship event is the annual "Erlebnis Modellbahn" held at the Dresden Messe since 2005, with the 21st edition scheduled for 5–7 February 2027. In addition to the main exhibition, the club runs weekly meetings every Friday at 17:00 in Pirna, organizes local open‑day displays, and conducts excursions to regional heritage railways (e.g., Lössnitztalbahn, V18.16, Görlitz). Membership activities include building and maintaining club layouts, participating in the Saxon Model Railway Association (SMV) until 2025, and promoting model‑railway hobbyists through outreach and social media. The club invites the public to visit its facilities and attend its events.
