Optica Online Industry Meeting: Defense & Security Photonics 2027
The Optica Online Industry Meeting: Defense & Security Photonics is the second edition of Optica’s closed-topic online industry session on photonic technologies for defense, aerospace, and national security.
Official timing for this edition is 7 September 2027, 10:00–11:30 Eastern Daylight Time (UTC−04:00). Delivery is online (webinar), not at a named convention centre. The 20 May 2025 first edition (10:00–12:00 EDT) was also an online meeting; registration is closed and Optica stated it would not be livestreamed or recorded because of topic sensitivity.
The 2027 session is described as bringing together defense stakeholders, system integrators, technology providers, and industrial partners on directed energy, ISR and remote sensing, optical and quantum communications, LiDAR and imaging, autonomous navigation, AI-enabled situational awareness, and manufacturing and supply-chain readiness for defense applications.
