Yagas Chili Quest & Beer Fest | Galveston, Texas 2027
The 18th Annual Yaga’s Chili Quest, Beers & Cheers returns to Galveston’s Historic Strand District on January 15–16, 2027. The street festival is centered at the intersection of 23rd Street and Strand Street (2302 Strand). Walking the grounds is free; Public Chili Sampling and Beers & Cheers tickets are sold in advance or on site while supplies last (tickets expected Fall 2026).
Friday, January 15 is mainly the Chief Cooks Meeting (18:00–19:00) at 2314 Strand above Tsunami Exotic Tequila Emporium. Saturday, January 16 is the public day: cook teams set up from 06:00, the 5k beer run starts 09:00 at 28th & Seawall, vendors open 10:00, Public Chili Sampling runs 12:00–15:00, VIP indoor Beers & Cheers opens 12:00 and general admission 13:00–16:00 at Dargan & Tobyn Balcony (2228 Strand St). Awards are at Saengerfest Park at 16:30; the festival closes at 18:00.
