SIM Expo – Simulation Canada 2026
The SIM Expo is Canada's premier gathering of simulation enthusiasts and a multidisciplinary healthcare simulation conference for clinicians, researchers and educators. The 2026 edition is held on November 9 and 10 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a two-day programme of keynote presentations, breakout sessions and workshops, research presentations, demonstration and pop-up poster presentations, and an open exhibit hall. The 2026 theme is "Simulation and Culture: People, Practice, and Progress", exploring cultural safety, psychological safety, Indigenous ways of knowing, team dynamics, leadership and systems improvement. The opening keynote is a candid conversation between Dr. Kelly Lackie and Dr. Sandra Monteiro on whether safety is necessary for learning, moderated by Dr. Eve Purdy, and the SIM Awards are presented at lunch on both days.
