Cologne Carnival 2027: The Fifth Season
The Cologne Carnival is a massive traditional folk festival. The 2027 session theme is Morje es, wat do drus mähs! (Tomorrow is what you make of it!). The street carnival spans six crazy days from Weiberfastnacht to Violet Tuesday.
Key Events and Traditions
- Weiberfastnacht (Women's Carnival): The street carnival begins at 11:11 a.m. on Thursday. Traditions include women cutting off men's ties and the handover of city keys.
- كرنفال الجمعة:Features local association parades and the Funkenbiwak open-air session on Neumarkt.
- Geisterzug (Ghost Parade):موكب بديل عفوي مع مباريات سياسية في مساء السبت.
- روز الاثنين:المهرجان موكب بطول 8 كيلومترات هائل يحتوي على عوامات وفرق مسيرة وفرق رقص أكثر من 300 طن من الحلويات و 300 ألف زهور يتم رميها إلى الحشود قبل وصول الأمير.
- الثلاثاءاليوم الأخير يميز مظلات كبيرة من الأحياء وحرق نوبل، كبش فداء قش الذي يمتص التجاوزات الكرنفالية للمستشفيات.
